Halley Sherwood, Secretary
Halley was raised in Tacoma, Washington and moved to Seattle in 2018 when she started attending the University of Washington to get her degree in International Studies. She discovered her passion for service while being involved in various volunteer work, including fundraising and kitchen work at the Tacoma Rescue Mission. She spent her college years working as a College and Career Readiness Assistant at Kent Meridian High School and Dimmitt Middle School, where she was able to support youth in accessing important info about college applications and financial aid. After graduating, she started work as the Communications Specialist at Rainier Beach Action Coalition (RBAC) in 2021, where she regularly collaborated with Danielle Jackson on events like the Back2School Bash and the Boo Bash at the Beach. Her passion for serving and her admiration for Danielle led her to take a position as a Board Member at CHAMPS in 2022.
