RB Skatepark Community Art in the Park Campaign

After eight years of planning the Rainier Beach Skatepark is nearing completion of Phase 1, and we are excited to bring a safe, inclusive, and ADA-accessible space to our community. This all-wheel, non-electric park will provide youth, students, and families with a dedicated place to enjoy skateboarding, biking, rollerblading, and other wheeled activities.

More than just a skatepark, this community gathering space will feature outdoor learning areas, a community walkabout, and community-designed public art that reflects the vibrant culture and creativity of Rainier Beach.

To complete Phase 1 and install the youth and community art elements, we need to raise $40,000. Our goal is to launch youth programming before the end of the summer season, creating opportunities for recreation, learning, and connection for generations to come.

The budget breaks down as follows:

$25,000 for the lead muralist, Myron Curry at https://www.mcurrydesigns.com
$15,000 for supplies and assistant artists
